Steps to Your Brand New Home

Building a New Home with Us has never been Easier!

In general, building a custom home requires more involvement by the customer during the early stages and many more decisions to be made along the way.

Thankfully, at Red Barn Homes, we have developed systems and tools to make the home-building process efficient and manageable for our customers.  The best part is – you are never alone! We will guide you through the entire building experience from start to finish. Here is what you can expect when building a home with us:

 

10 Simple Steps to Your Brand New Home:

 

Step 1

Home Tour – Find out all the features and benefits of building a First Choice Home Builders custom home.

Select and Customize Your Home Plan – Meet the builder and select your home plan.  Here’s when you can explore all your options, and choose the design that’s right for you. You can select one of our floor plans or we’ll help you design your very own!

Step 2

Determine The Cost of Your Home – For your no-obligation price quote, we will meet with you to review all of our standard features, and you will receive a copy of the quote showing all pricing and descriptions of your selections. All items will be explained in detail. With Red Barn Homes, we’ll make sure that there are no hidden costs or unwelcome surprises!

Step 3

Financing – We know that financing is a big part of building your new home. That’s why we seek out the best lenders in the market who have expertise in construction lending, have a variety of products to suit your needs and have competitive rates. You don’t have to worry about taking out multiple loans with multiple hits on your credit, since we will typically take out the construction loan for you.

Step 4

Construction and Purchase Agreement – Getting started with this stage means that you have picked your dream home with options that fit your lifestyle.  You have selected your lot and your budget has been established.  Now we are ready to build!

Step 5

Design Selections – You will meet with a Red Barn representative to review the design selection options and confirm the choices and colors made at your price quote. If you’ve changed your mind on some things, we can implement them into your design during this stage.

Step 6

Home Site Inspection – We will schedule a home site inspection where your builder will come to your home site to determine lot characteristics and home placement.

Step 7

Pre-Construction Meeting – This is the final meeting before we begin building your brand new Red Barn home. At this meeting you will meet your construction team and we will review all of the details related to your new home before we begin building. We will completely finalize all design selections during this phase.

Step 8

Construction – We believe the key to any strong relationship is communication. You can expect to hear from our team on a regular basis throughout the construction process! Our team is on the ground every day, overseeing every aspect of your home’s construction. Whenever you have questions, we are only a phone call away.

Step 9

New Home Orientation – When your new home is complete, your personal builder will accompany you on a walk-through to ensure that every detail of your new home meets the high standards of quality and craftsmanship that Red Barn Homes is committed to.  During this orientation, you will be educated about every aspect of your home, including operations and maintenance procedures for all systems. The warranty process will be explained in depth.

Step 10

Congratulations, You are Ready to Close on Your New Home!! 

The day you close on your home and officially make it yours is definitely a day worth celebrating!  Our commitment to you that began with the first meeting continues after closing, with the start of our one-year builder’s warranty. At closing, you will receive the keys to your new home.   The only thing left to do is unpack, sit back, relax, and enjoy your new custom home!
